Merily
A loan of $6,000 helps buy equipment and remodel my Dominican restaurant to provide a better service to my customers!
Merily's story
I was born and grow up in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. My city is so beautiful; all the people are friendly, we like to eat, dance and talk. I have a passion for cooking since I was a little girl. I was always in the kitchen creating new plate for my family and friends to try. My passion is to see when a client leaves satisfied with the service and food.
Since I was a little girl, I saw my parents working in their own business trying people so kind and doing business we them.
After I emigrated to USA 11 years ago, I settled in New York City and I started to work in a Dominican restaurant where they served Dominican food. In that time, I learned how to cook like a professional chef. After a few years working there I started dreaming of opening my own restaurant.
For that, I started saving all my money so that my dream could come true. After a lot of effort and sacrifices I made it - I opened the Toque Steak House restaurant. Now I have another goal: to open a new location, and I know that with my perseverance and hard work I can do it possible if God willing.
