Natural Gas Futures Advance Early Amid Mixed Demand Outlook, Lower Output

Natural gas futures traded up a few cents early Tuesday as market participants digested an uneven weather demand forecast, a dip in production and ongoing progress toward addressing a supply overhang.

The September Nymex gas futures contract was up 3.8 cents to $2.273/MMBtu as of 8:40 a.m. ET.

AccuWeather’s outlook for this week showed mild conditions over much of the North and along stretches of the East Coast.
