Shirley Del Pilar and her family live in Montecristi and stand out for their crafts made of toquilla straw, wicker, piquigua, and wood; fine toquilla straw hats, recognized in the world as “Panama Hat,” recognized throughout the country and outside of it.

At home, Shirley Del Pilar has a small grocery store in which she sells a variety of products for daily consumption. She works in sales every day and her customers are happy for the good service and good products. Together with her husband, she also has a transportation bus where he works making various tours in the city of Manta and thus obtains financial income. This loan is to buy bread, milk, sausages, colas, water, noodles, detergents, and another part will be used to carry out bus maintenance.
